CITROËN EXPANDS ITS BRISTOL STREET MOTORS PARTNERSHIP WITH A NEW RETAILER IN MACCLESFIELD

Citroën UK has expanded its retail network with the addition of a new showroom in Macclesfield, operated by the franchised retail network, Bristol Street Motors. The new showroom is now operating through a click and collect, and home delivery service (under current English law)* for customers of both new and used Citroën vehicles.                     From opening, a full aftersales service will be available for existing customers of the brand**.

As part of the Citroën ‘Advance UK’ plan launched last year, Citroën will appoint a number of new sites across the UK in the first nine months of the year to ensure optimum brand representation across the country and to increase levels of customer satisfaction. The appointment of the Macclesfield site marks the second in the last six months with Bristol Street Motors, following the opening of the Citroën franchise in Worcester in August 2020.

Bristol Street Motors, Macclesfield will give Citroën customers access to nine workshop bays capable of servicing, repairs and MOTs, as well as a showroom displaying the latest Citroën models. The Macclesfield location is ideal thanks to its close proximity to the Lyme Green Retail Park.

Ben Hardman, General Manager at Bristol Street Motors Macclesfield, said: "Adding the Citroën dealership to the existing Ford site in Macclesfield is an exciting move for the Group. The showroom looks fantastic, and the team is geared up and ready to provide fantastic service to our customers as soon as we are able to welcome them in. Sadly, at the moment, due to the lockdown, things are a little bit different, but we hope that before too long we can properly show off our new premises. In the meantime, it is business as usual as far as selling cars is concerned.”

To ensure maximum safety, Bristol Street Motors, Macclesfield have gone to great lengths to make their retail site fully compliant with all Government guidelines. The retailer will be providing both click and collect in a dedicated location outside the showroom, whilst a home delivery service will also be available where possible. With regard to aftersales operations, expert technicians thoroughly clean customer vehicles on the way into the workshop and again after the work is completed. Gloves, masks and surface coverings are used whilst work is being carried out on vehicles.

The appointment of this new Bristol Street Motors site comes at an important time for the Citroën brand in the UK as it continues to embark on its electrification offensive. Following the introduction of New C5 Aircross SUV Hybrid, 100% electric ë-SpaceTourer MPV and ë-Dispatch medium van last year, 2021 will see the arrival of the 100% electric New ë-C4, New ë-Relay large van, New ë-Berlingo compact van and New ë-Berlingo MPV.

2020 also saw the renewal of the brands best-selling New C3 supermini. February 2021 sees the launch of New C4 with a choice of highly efficient petrol and diesel engines, in addition to the 100% electric New ë-C4.
