  • NHS Property Services, the organisation behind the management of NHS facilities, have taken delivery of an additional 70 Citroën vehicles.
  • 70 vehicles are part of a 200 vehicles order placed on behalf of NHS Property Services by public sector fleet management specialists Knowles Associates in support of a new maintenance support contract from 1st April.
  • Supplying dealer, John Grose in Ipswich, prepared the vehicles rapidly, in spite of reduced staffing levels, to meet the unprecedented demand on the NHS.
  • New vans will play a critical role in maintenance and repair of NHS facilities in the UK, comprising 3,000 properties and 7,000 tenants.

NHS Property Services, the owners and managers of more than 3,000 NHS facilities, has taken delivery of 70 new Citroën commercial vehicles that are being deployed across the UK to provide critical maintenance and repair to premises during these unprecedented times. The supplying dealer, John Grose in Ipswich, prepared the vehicles rapidly, in spite of reduced staffing levels, to meet the unprecedented demand on the NHS.

The new fleet of 70 vans were delivered as a priority last week – joining an earlier batch of 29 vehicles that were handed over earlier this year – as part of an order for 200 vehicles in total. In 2019, 341 Citroën commercial vehicles were supplied by Knowles Associates to NHS Property Services. This latest tranche of vehicles, consisting primarily of Citroën Dispatch BlueHDi100 XS Enterprise models, is already operational across the country, performing their critical duties.

Graham Smales, Corporate Sales Manager at Groupe PSA UK, commented: “NHS Property Services is a valued customer of the Citroën brand and I am proud that we have been able to support the critical work being done by NHS Property Services at this time, with a rapid supply of vans.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all parties involved in getting the vehicles turned around so quickly, including the racking and sign writing providers as well as the teams at Knowles Associates, Alphabet and LeasePlan, most notably though, the team at John Grose Citroën who prepared the vehicles in record time and on reduced staffing levels.”
