CITROËN DISPATCH ENTERPRISE PLUS IS 300TH VEHICLE TO JOIN MARREN MICROWAVE SERVICE FLEET

Commercial microwave and kitchen equipment service provider, Marren Microwave Ltd, has taken delivery of the 300th vehicle ever to be used in its service fleet – a Citroën Dispatch Enterprise Plus.  The new Dispatch becomes the 35th Citroën currently in operation with the family owned company. Marren Microwave Ltd was established over 30 years ago to meet the growing demand for microwave servicing in the commercial sector.



The latest Citroën Dispatch to join the Marren Microwave fleet is the 300th vehicle to enter service with the Northampton-based specialist company that was founded more than 30 years ago. Marren Microwave is a leading supplier of servicing, maintenance and support for operators of commercial microwave ovens, microwave combination ovens and other forms of accelerated cooking equipment.

The new Citroën Dispatch Enterprise Plus joins 34 other Citroën vans on the Marren fleet, all purchased from Luton-based Citroën dealership Slip End Garages. The fleet includes a number of previous generation Citroën Berlingo vans, with the company planning to add more Dispatch vans in the coming months. The Marren Microwave Service Fleet covers the entire UK mainland from John O’Groats to Lands End, with 60 remote field service engineers employed by the company, which recently moved its head office to new premises at Earls Barton outside Northampton. Marren Microwave expects to run the new Citroën vans for three to four years.

"We like the way the Citroën Dispatch vans look, particularly in silver", says Operations Manager, Darren Edwards, "They are modern looking, we like the spec. of the interiors, the guys love the reversing camera, they think it’s the best thing since sliced bread! We’ve chosen the Enterprise Plus trim with the sat nav, alloy wheels and air conditioning."

“Marren Microwave’s fleet needs to be available to the company’s service engineers 24/7, ensuring that they can keep to a demanding appointment schedule all-year round”, says PSA Group Fleet Director, Martin Gurney. “Dispatch Enterprise Plus standard equipment includes Citroën Connect Nav, which can route Marren’s service engineers direct to its customers by the quickest route. Enterprise Plus also includes air conditioning to keep them cool in summer and the cab windows clear in winter. The specification also helps to boost residual values when Marren replaces the vehicles. For a specialist fleet to recognise the many strengths of the Dispatch is great news for Citroën.”
